WOW.... my WOW addiction....

World of Warcraft. What do you think of when you hear this? I used to think of a bunch of nerdy pre-teens with acne infested faces and cracking voices yelling at each other and saying their first curse words as they were killed by something in their mythical world! But my eyes have been opened. Since the beginning of the school year I have been deep into the "world" of warcraft. I started my account by the direction of my roommate one night. I had apprehensions of being seen as a nerd and people making fun of me, but i started playing it anyway. At first I was lost in this massive world but with time my enjoyment level began to increase. The game is mostly comprised of leveling your character to level 70. However their are many other elements that play huge roles: gear, weapons, specializing the talents, professions, money, honor, and many more little things. The game seems so realistic with mail, banks and flight paths that you have to pay for in the games currency. So now that you know I am an avid "warcrafter" and I have confessed my sin to the world, I am here to say that I am surprised on a daily basis with new warcraft brethren. Just yesterday I found out that one of my buddies (I will not mention his name in protection of his public image, lol) plays and has played almost since the game has come out! More and more people I know are being drawn into the game or have played before. Some people you would never expect, and some that you could totally guess. It blew me away to see how large the WOW community has grown and how many people I know play it. This legendary and very popular game is addicting and yet so fulfilling in its own little way. My nerdy side is out now... I am a internet gamer officially.
